Save money

Why buy a drill you'll use twice? Borrow one from a neighbour instead.

Reduce waste

Fewer things manufactured, fewer things in landfill. Sharing is greener.

Stronger communities

Get to know the people around you. A small favour goes a long way.

Sharing made effortless

Four simple steps to start borrowing and lending with the people you trust.

1

Add in seconds

Take a photo, add a title and choose who to share it with. That's it.

2

Your communities

Create groups for your street, family, friends, school, work and more.

3

Local and trusted

Borrow from people you know. No strangers, no shipping, just honest messages.

4

A more sustainable way

Share what you already own, reduce waste and help each other out.

Your neighbours already own what you need

Every street is full of drills, ladders, pressure washers and camping gear sitting in garages and sheds barely being used. BorrowMy makes them all visible so nothing goes to waste.

Every borrow is a purchase avoided

When you borrow instead of buying new, you skip an entire chain of environmental impact — from raw materials to your doorstep.

Lower emissions

Sharing avoids extraction, manufacturing, packaging and transport. For many tools, most lifetime emissions occur before the owner even uses them.

Less raw material

Fewer new products means less demand for steel, aluminium, copper, plastics and lithium — and less mining and processing impact.

Water saved

Manufacturing metals, plastics and electronics has substantial water footprints. Every purchase avoided is water saved upstream.

Less waste

Fewer rarely-used products entering landfill or incineration. Sharing also reduces packaging waste from every new purchase.

We're launching in Maidenhead

BorrowMy is starting with a local pilot to see if a whole community can come together to share what it already owns — saving money and making better environmental decisions. Our founder Jack is a life-long Maidenhead resident, and this is a town with strong community ties and people who already look out for each other.
